Asher Chancey is a born problem solver who has spent his professional career developing strategies to service the needs of his clients, while working diligently to exceed expectations. He believes that ongoing active engagement with his clients is key to the successful relationship. It is not enough to merely fill in blanks and check boxes –a REALTOR® must understand his clients’ needs and goals and then use his expertise, hard work, and ingenuity to make those goals a reality.
Prior to becoming a Realtor, Asher worked for over a decade as an attorney in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, during which time he defended hundreds of individuals and corporations from lawsuits. As with his legal clients, Asher knows that effective advocacy for his clients’ position is central to completing a successful real estate transaction and building trust. In addition to his work as a Realtor and attorney, Asher has also taught ballroom dance and moonlighted as a baseball writer, with his work being published in The Hardball Times, Bleacher Report, the Houston Chronicle, and BaseballEvolution.com.
Asher graduated from Tulane University School of Law before moving to Philadelphia in 2006. After living in the Art Museum area, Asher moved to University City, where he lives with his wife Kelly and their three children. In his free time, Asher is co-commissioner of rookie baseball for the Philadelphia Athletics Youth Sports Association and is active in the home & school associations for Julia R. Masterman School and Henry C. Lea Elementary. Asher is also a member of the Spruce Hill Community Association and Friends of Clark Park.
